Spain's Ministry for the Ecological Transition (MITECO) has run the national carbon registry since 2014. Projects are verified by the ministry itself, entries are public and searchable, and compensation through the registry completes the third stage of the official seal. ClearSky develops reforestation projects inscribed in this registry and sells the credits they produce, from its own projects and inventory, with the compensation filing handled end to end.

Verified by the state. Projects are inscribed with Spain's environment ministry and listed in the national registry: online, and checkable by anyone, including auditors and clients.
Thirty years, and a management plan. Forestry projects carry a minimum thirty-year permanence commitment, a management plan that must evidence the forest survives it, and monitoring at least every five years.
A shared registry reserve. Every project cedes a share of its registered absorptions to the registry's guarantee pool, which covers compensations already made if a project later loses forest mass.
Land, species and a plan that can be visited. Mixed-species planting on land we have contracted ourselves, in Galicia, Asturias and Castilla y León, with a pipeline in Andalucía. Site visits are welcome.

The registry recognises compensation from one tonne. Programmes are quoted against the filed footprint, whether that is a few hundred tonnes or tens of thousands.
